Audrey's Journey:
Lets take it back to 2017
My journey with RaineHills began unexpectedly, shortly after discovering I was pregnant with my daughter, Everleigh. While running errands one day, I stumbled upon their charming store. In that moment, it felt like a gentle nudge from above, urging me to ask if they were hiring. Although my heart had always been set on a career in fashion, the reality seemed distant. Instead, I initially pursued a path towards becoming a dental hygienist while beginning my adventure with RaineHills.
Facing challenges with biology classes left me questioning my path towards becoming a dental hygienist and feeling uncertain about my future. During this tough period the prevoius owner, Elizabeth Hill, extended her support and encouraged me to pursue my degree in fashion merchandising at Texas State University.
After dedicating five years to working in the store, I made the decision to leave RaineHills to focus on pursing my degree. My dream was always to own a businesss for myself to persure my interest in fashion and to have the freedom to spend quality time with my daughter. Following the completion of my degree, I sought to gain diverse experience by working in various retail positions. After many years of prayer and contemplation, Elizabeth reached out and asked if I would be interested in carrying on the RaineHills legacy and purchase the business. Her own daughters had grown older and she felt it was time to pass the baton.
In the present day, I find myself living out countless answered prayers and embracing God's will for my life. Each day, I am on a journey of learning and growth as a business owner. My aspiration is for RaineHills to serve as a vibrant hub for our community. When customers step through our doors, my hope is that they leave feeling inspired and satisfied with their purchases, all the while experiencing the presence of God.
Our Name:
The name RaineHills came from the prevoius owners. Raine, pronounced as Rainey, pays homage to the youngest member of their family when opening the store. Hills is a tribute to Elizabeths daughters, who bear the surname Hill. The fusion of these names becomes RaineHills.
